Plant waterer
Reads soil moisture and turns a valve lever with a micro servo when the pot is dry. The decision runs on the device. From $39 in parts.

Parts from $39.09 (1 not priced yet) · powered by the USB-C 5.1 V 3 A Power Supply
- Note: The USB-C 5.1 V 3 A Power Supply's plug (usb-c-v1) doesn't fit the ESP32-S3-DevKitC-1 (N8R8)'s port (usb-micro-b-v1). You'll need an adapter cable, which isn't in the parts list.
Wiring
The volts are the parts' own: the USB-C 5.1 V 3 A Power Supply puts out 4.845–5.355 V, and the ESP32-S3-DevKitC-1 (N8R8)'s regulator makes the 3.251–3.349 V rail its GPIO and most of the sensors run from. Which header pin each lead lands on is our suggestion — the registry has no pin map, and nothing here has been wired on a bench.
Power the board off while you plug anything in. Every connector here is keyed: if it doesn't click in easily, turn it over rather than forcing it.
- Note: The servo's stall current (600 mA) comes from the supply, not the brain's rail.
